PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: September 2026
Who we are
This privacy policy applies to Santa Maria Burgers ("we", "us", "our") and the website at santamariaburger.com. We operate a restaurant location in Santa Maria, California, at 1785 S Broadway.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form submissions: when you fill out the contact form on this site, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you provided, plus your mobile number and your text-message and email choices if you give them.
- Email signup: when you sign up on our homepage, we receive your email address and, if you give them, your mobile number and your email and text-message choices. The small email box at the bottom of each page collects only your email address.
- Email correspondence: if you contact us through the site, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we may use aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are visited and how the site performs. This does not identify you personally.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses and request timestamps. These are retained briefly for security and operational purposes.
How we use your information
- To respond to questions, comments, and inquiries you send us.
- To improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
- To prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
Text messages and email offers
If you check a text-message box on our contact form or our homepage email signup, we will text the mobile number you provided: about your message if you chose that option, and occasional offers and news (up to 4 messages a month) if you chose that one. If you check the email box, we will send offers and news to your email address. Every box is optional, unchecked until you check it, and is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
We keep a record of when and where you agreed and the exact wording you agreed to. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that make this website and our replies work: Netlify (hosting and form submissions) and our customer-relationship and messaging provider, which stores your contact details and sends our texts and emails on our behalf. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Don't submit the form: the form is optional. You can reach us in person at our location instead.
- California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), you have rights to access, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise other rights, reach us through our contact form.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
